On August 21, Franklin Templeton announced plans to introduce tokenized assets into traditional investment funds, stating it has obtained the first regulatory approval in the United States allowing digital native products to be used in traditional funds.
According to a letter disclosed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company intends to embed its tokenized money market fund as holdings or collateral within ETF and mutual fund products.
