French Couple Kidnapped Over Bitcoin and Crypto Holdings; Two Suspects Arrested

August 20 news, according to actu, a couple in Landes, France, were broken into, held hostage, and kidnapped at their home. The attackers targeted their Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency holdings. At around 4 a.m., multiple criminals entered the residence, threatening and pressuring the couple to hand over a large amount of crypto assets. The two were then taken away: the man was later found in the town of Solférino, naked with multiple cuts on his body. The woman was found in another vehicle, in a different province at a considerable distance. After the incident, French gendarmes quickly blocked roads and launched an investigation. Two men have now been arrested. The case is being handled by the Bordeaux Interregional Special Court (JIRS) and the National Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office (PNACO).
