Iran Says Shipping Route Plan for Strait of Hormuz Finalized with Oman

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated that the consensus between Iran and Oman is an independent agreement between the two sovereign littoral states, aimed at ensuring safe passage for vessels through the strait while safeguarding the sovereignty of both nations. Baghaei added that full restoration of security in the strait and a return to normal commercial shipping are contingent on the U.S. ceasing its illegal actions, military deterrence, and maritime blockade, and that the U.S. must compensate for its breaches of commitments over the past two months.
