Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said at a semiconductor manufacturing facility near the company's headquarters in Boise, Idaho, that memory has become strategic infrastructure in the AI era, and AI-driven demand growth will permanently reset the cyclical industry's economic logic. On the financial front, Micron's third fiscal quarter revenue reached $41.46 billion, a sharp increase from $9.3 billion in the same period last year, with gross margin rising to 84.6%. The company expects fourth fiscal quarter gross margin to further improve to approximately 86%.

On the supply side, data center customer demand is approximately 150% of Micron's committed supply capacity, representing a significant shortfall. Mehrotra also cited autonomous vehicles, robotics, and AI consumer devices as future incremental demand sources.
