Nan Ya Plastics, a leading electronic materials maker, confirmed that due to sharp increases in costs of copper foil, fiberglass cloth, resin and other raw materials, cumulative price hikes for electronic materials this year have exceeded 100%, implemented through phased negotiations rather than a single announcement of sharp increases. Among them, fiberglass cloth faces the most severe shortage, followed by copper foil. Benefiting from the four major CSPs' expansion of AI capital expenditures and demand for high-end materials in AI servers, the supply-demand gap in electronic materials is unlikely to narrow in the near term.
