August 21 news, according to 21st Century Business Herald, the "siphoning effect" of AI on the semiconductor supply chain continues to intensify. Entering the second half of 2026, a new round of chip price hikes is sweeping in with broader coverage and stronger momentum. RF chip leader Maxscend has issued a price adjustment notice, announcing new prices for its full RF product line effective September 1. The following day, Nations Technologies followed suit, raising prices on select MCU products by 10% to 20%. Among international majors, STMicroelectronics (ST) will complete its third price adjustment of the year on August 23, while Analog Devices (ADI) will implement its second round of new prices starting September 13. From memory chips to MCUs, from RF front-ends to power semiconductors, from analog chips to passive components, price hike notices are landing in rapid succession.
