Nvidia shares dipped about 0.5% in premarket trading Friday as risk appetite cooled ahead of the opening bell. Nasdaq futures fell 0.23%, and S&P 500 futures slipped 0.01%.
Nvidia's fiscal 2028 outlook reinforced Wall Street's bullish stance, with KeyBanc, Bernstein, and Goldman Sachs all highlighting stronger-than-expected growth, persistent AI demand, and supply constraints that could leave room for further upside.
KeyBanc Sees Demand Supporting Growth Through 2028
KeyBanc Capital Markets analyst John Vinh told CNBC that Nvidia's fiscal 2028 revenue outlook, representing roughly 70% growth, significantly exceeded Wall Street's expectations of around 45%.
Vinh added that Nvidia sees demand sufficient to support 100% growth, but supply constraints remain the limiting factor. He expects demand to persist through next year and into most of fiscal 2028.
KeyBanc maintained a $330 price target. Vinh also noted that customer financing supports real AI demand rather than artificial channel stuffing.
Bernstein Says Rubin Ramp and Supply Chain Strengthen Moat
Bernstein analyst Stacy Rasgon raised his price target from $315 to $400 after Nvidia's fiscal 2028 outlook came in well above prior expectations.
Rasgon told CNBC that both buy-side and sell-side estimates moved up significantly following the print. He pointed to the strong ramp of the Rubin architecture with no major delays as concrete evidence of accelerating growth.
Rasgon also highlighted Nvidia's balance sheet as a key competitive advantage, citing nearly $300 billion in direct supplier agreements covering memory, wafers, and other components, which gives Nvidia greater ability to secure capacity than rivals.
Goldman Sachs Sees Growth Potentially Exceeding 70%
Goldman Sachs analyst Jim Schneider raised his price target from $285 to $300, suggesting Nvidia's 70% growth outlook may be conservative.
Schneider told CNBC that customer demand exceeds 100%, while shortages in memory, data center land, power, rack capacity, and other components limit shipments. Goldman's estimates already exceed Nvidia's published growth outlook.
He also expressed comfort with Nvidia's financing commitments, noting most funds support supply chain partners that need visibility to expand capacity.
Schneider expects Nvidia's 72% to 73% gross margin outlook to ease concerns over rising component costs, and believes share buybacks will become more meaningful over the next six months.
