Nvidia, SK Hynix: Must Secure CPO!

SK Hynix and Nvidia have simultaneously increased their bets on CPO (Co-Packaged Optics), a rare joint move. SK Hynix published a paper setting targets for next-generation AI interconnect technology, while Nvidia announced mass production of the world's first 200G/lane CPO switch. CPO aims to solve data center power consumption and signal loss challenges, but its current penetration rate is only about 0.5%, and it will coexist with pluggable optical modules for the long term, with industry chain value shifting toward upstream optical chips and advanced packaging.
