OpenSea Reintroduces Solana NFT Support After Four Years

NFT marketplace OpenSea has reinstated support for Solana NFTs, allowing users to buy and sell Solana-based NFT collections, including popular series such as Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals. This marks the first time in over four years—since April 2022, when OpenSea first added Solana support in beta—that Solana has returned as the platform's first non-EVM chain for NFT trading. An OpenSea representative stated that OS2 is a multi-chain platform rebuilt from scratch, which began with Solana token support and has now extended to NFTs, reflecting the trend of many collection platforms adopting Solana NFTs. In April 2025, Solana rejoined OpenSea via OS2, but initially only for fungible tokens, with officials noting that NFT support would follow. Currently, the platform supports nearly all other networks as EVM-compatible chains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Monad, Sei, and Berachain. This launch comes at a time when the NFT market is well below its peak, with monthly trading volumes having fallen from billions of dollars in 2021–2022 to just hundreds of millions now, according to The Block.
