August 21 — According to Yonhap News, South Korea's Shinhan Asset Management announced on August 21, 2026, that it has signed a four-party business agreement (MOU) with global blockchain network Solana Foundation, compliant tokenization issuance platform Etherfuse, and on-chain liquidity infrastructure Orca, to jointly advance a full-process technical verification (PoC) for the "issuance and circulation of KRW-denominated tokenized funds."

The collaboration references the tokenized fund "BUIDL" model of global asset management giant BlackRock, aiming to apply it to KRW-denominated assets. The four parties will jointly verify KYC/AML compliance systems, blockchain operation methods, security audits, and domestic and international regulatory requirements such as foreign exchange transaction laws, as well as on-chain liquidity design.
