SK Hynix Moves Beyond "Not Ruling Out": On-Site Site Selection for Front-End Wafer Fab in US, AI Giants' Pressure Forces Memory Supply Chain Restructuring

Over the past month or so, SK Hynix has conducted intensive on-site inspections of potential sites for a front-end memory wafer fab in the United States, directly responding to the urgent demand and pressure from US AI chip customers for supply chain localization. Previously, when advancing its ADR issuance in the US, SK Hynix had stated externally that it "does not rule out establishing a memory chip manufacturing base in the US." Now, this vague intention has transformed into concrete business action.
