August 26 news, according to CoinDesk, POSCO International, South Korea's largest trading company, tokenized its trade receivables on the Avalanche blockchain, completing a real-world asset on-chain transaction, a month after the company conducted a similar pilot on Injective. POSCO's U.S. subsidiary partnered with trade finance platform Olea and asset-backed fintech company Intain, which verified and recorded the receivables on its Avalanche-based Layer 1 network after using AI to reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documents. POSCO International has annual revenue of $22.2 billion, with operations spanning steel, energy, and battery materials, and runs over 80 overseas branches.
