According to Ibtimes, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said the company is partnering with Nvidia to advance the launch of its first satellites equipped with AI computing capabilities to the fourth quarter of 2027, from a previous target of 2028.

Musk stated that SpaceX and Nvidia have designed the Vera Rubin NVL72 system optimized for space environments, with plans to launch it into orbit in Q4 2027 and achieve large-scale deployment in 2028. SpaceX will also adopt Nvidia processors to provide orchestration, code execution, and data processing capabilities for next-generation Agentic AI.

Following the announcement, SpaceX shares strengthened, rising approximately 2.9% intraday to $138.92.

Meanwhile, SpaceX is advancing its small modular nuclear reactor project, mPower. As AI data center power demand grows rapidly, the company is seeking to provide stable, low-carbon, around-the-clock electricity through solutions such as small modular nuclear reactors.
