On August 30, according to the 2026 semi-annual report performance summary for Shanghai-listed companies released by the Shanghai Stock Exchange, 2,318 Shanghai-listed companies achieved combined operating revenue of RMB 26.22 trillion in H1 2026, up 6.3% year-on-year; net profit totaled RMB 2.82 trillion, up 17.6% year-on-year, marking the fastest growth since 2022. Among them, STAR Market companies posted combined operating revenue of RMB 1.01 trillion, up 38.6% year-on-year, and net profit of RMB 144.887 billion, up 437.6% year-on-year, exceeding the full-year level of the previous year. The 36 STAR Market growth-tier companies saw revenue rise 29.1% year-on-year, with net losses narrowing sharply by 62.3%. In terms of investor returns, 427 Shanghai-listed companies announced interim dividends, with total cash dividends reaching RMB 633 billion; among these, the six major banks distributed a combined RMB 220.9 billion, and 16 companies each paid dividends exceeding RMB 10 billion.
