August 21 news, according to CoinDesk, macro strategist Mark Connors said the U.S. Treasury's regular buyback program for long-duration bonds could become a key turning point for Bitcoin, easing a major macro pressure that had been weighing on the crypto market. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated the buyback scale could exceed the previously announced $40 billion. Connors believes this is an important signal of the U.S. government's response to rising long-term borrowing costs, and estimates the buyback scale could ultimately reach $10 billion to $30 billion per month; therefore, he has changed his outlook on Bitcoin, no longer expecting to wait until November for a rally, and has raised his price target range to $180,000-$360,000, with the first touch of the $180,000 threshold potentially occurring after regulatory policy loosens.
