Tesla Adjusts Texas Plant Plans, Shifts Cybertruck Capacity to Cybercab

Musk said Tesla plans to gradually reduce Cybertruck production at its Texas plant starting in mid-2027 to expand Cybercab output. Tesla began producing the Cybertruck at its Austin plant in 2023, but market demand has been weak. Tesla has already been producing the gold two-seat Cybercab at the Austin plant as a key part of its transition plan.
