Tesla Delays Roadster Unveiling to October 15 Due to Severe Weather

Tesla Inc. has confirmed that the Roadster unveiling event, originally scheduled for October 1, will be postponed to October 15.

Unfavorable Weather

On Monday, Tesla's official account posted on X to confirm the delay. "We have been closely tracking weather conditions with local meteorologists, but given the forecasted severe conditions and the fact that this event can only be held outdoors, we have made the difficult decision to postpone," the electric vehicle giant stated.

Tesla added that the event will take place on October 15, and the company will provide more event details in the coming days. Tesla had previously reopened reservations for the Roadster, charging prospective customers a $50,000 reservation fee.

Notably, reports from August suggested that the Roadster could feature a "cold gas propulsion system," which is used by Musk-led SpaceX for Falcon 9 rocket landings.

On the other hand, Musk hinted during his appearance on the All In podcast a few weeks ago that the Roadster unveiling would be a memorable event.
