Trump Administration Eases Winter Gasoline Sales Early to Alleviate Fuel Price Pressures

However, due to heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz from the U.S.-Iran conflict, U.S. gasoline prices have remained above $4 per gallon since mid-July, with the Department of Energy projecting high prices to persist through year-end.
