August 20 news, according to Cointelegraph, US Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego warned at the SALT conference that pushing for a vote on the CLARITY Act before resolving disputes over ethical clauses and stablecoin yields could further set back progress on crypto market structure legislation. Gallego stated that he and Republican Senator Thom Tillis have submitted a compromise draft of ethical clauses to the White House but have not received line-by-line feedback, with the White House either not responding or returning a more conservative version. He emphasized not pursuing a quick vote, saying, "A quick vote brings quick results, but I'm not sure that's the result you want."
