US Nears 'Large-Scale' Deal Targeting Venezuela's 90M-Barrel Oil Reserves

According to reports, US-Venezuela negotiations are focused on more than a dozen producing oil fields, with the core concept being to grant the US partial ownership of these fields and allow American energy companies to participate in subsequent development to further boost output. A US Deputy Energy Secretary said last week that roughly half of Venezuela's current crude production flows to US refineries.
