VISA Inc. introduced a new on-chain credit model on Tuesday, designed to help stablecoin-linked card programs and fintech companies obtain working capital through on-chain lending infrastructure and Visa data.

• Visa's stock is facing resistance. What is dragging V shares lower?

Linking VisaNet Data with On-Chain Lending to Serve Card Payments

On-chain lending has become a rapidly expanding sector in digital finance. According to data from Visa's on-chain analytics dashboard, over $694 billion in stablecoin-denominated loans have been processed through on-chain lending protocols since 2020, forming a 24/7 global credit market.

By combining VisaNet settlement data with on-chain credit infrastructure, Visa aims to give lenders deeper insight into how programs operate, helping them assess financing opportunities and provide capital aligned with business needs.

Rubail Birwadker, Global Head of Growth Products and Partnerships at Visa, stated that combining trusted payment data with on-chain technology can unlock new liquidity options, helping businesses access capital that is more transparent, programmable, and matched to the pace of modern commerce.

This initiative builds on Visa's broader stablecoin strategy, including the recently launched Visa Stablecoin Platform, which supports stablecoin settlement, expands stablecoin-linked card programs, and enables financial institutions to access new digital asset capabilities.

V Stock Technical Outlook: Key Levels and Momentum

Visa is hugging its short-term trendline, with shares 0.1% below the 20-day simple moving average and slightly below the 20-day exponential moving average, making the $372–$374 area a near-term "decision zone." The larger trend remains constructive, with shares 2.2% above the 50-day simple moving average, 8.2% above the 100-day simple moving average, and 11.2% above the 200-day simple moving average.

Momentum is neutral: the relative strength index is 51.43, indicating the stock is not overextended in either direction, so price reactions to support/resistance tend to be clearer than "overbought/oversold" mean reversion. This fits the current setup following the July golden cross, with shares consolidating below the August swing high and not far from the 52-week high of $385.57.

Key resistance: $374 — a nearby round number/pivot area, coinciding with the stock's narrow trading around the 20-day moving average.

Key support: $358 — a nearby level near the 50-day simple moving average/exponential moving average zone, where trend buyers typically defend pullbacks.

Visa's Rankings in Momentum, Quality, Value, and Growth

Here is Visa's Edge scorecard, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses relative to the broader market:

Momentum: Moderate — trends are generally supportive, but the stock is currently digesting gains near short-term resistance.

Quality: Strong — the scorecard flags Visa as a high-quality name, which often helps defend against pullbacks during market volatility.

Value: Weak — the market is paying a premium for this business, so upside is more sensitive to execution and guidance.

Growth: Weak — growth is not considered a "primary selling point" relative to durability and scale, which may limit multiple expansion.

Conclusion: Visa's Edge signals reveal a profile led by quality, with acceptable momentum, but a notably expensive valuation backdrop. For long-term bulls, this typically means waiting for a clearer pullback to support rather than chasing at resistance.
