Morgan Creek Capital CEO Mark Yusko said that based on Metcalfe's Law, Bitcoin's fair value is approximately $105,000, while its current price is around $75,000, putting it in a "discounted" state and making it the best time to buy and accumulate. Speaking on Bitcoin Magazine TV, Yusko stated that Bitcoin is the best way to protect personal wealth, and that investment companies are not a good long-term option. "Over the past 30 years, 85% of companies will disappear. What you really need is an asset that preserves value—historically, for 5,000 years, only gold has done that; now we have both gold and Bitcoin." Bitcoin hit a high of $126,000 in October 2025 and has since fallen about 40% from that peak, currently trading at $75,700. Earlier, the U.S. Treasury announced it would at least double the size of its liquidity-support repurchase operations, which has driven Bitcoin's rebound since August, pressuring the dollar rather than benefiting yield-bearing assets. Some experts believe the "debasement trade"—where investors buy assets to hedge against currency devaluation—is making a comeback, which would be bullish for Bitcoin.
